The Stroud Walking Festival

Strolling in Gloucestershire
The Strolling in Gloucestershire Festival has, in the past, been organised by all six local authorities in Gloucestershire. Many of the walks were part of a national initiative called the 'Walking the Way to Health' which encourages people, particularly those who take little exercise, to do regular short walks in their communities. The festival was also part of the national campaign Change 4 Life which is encouraging people to adopt healthy lifestyles and become more physically active. Here are some previous Festival brochures:
As I Walked Out...
An eight week epic journey with four donkeys, chickens, carts, children, young people and, of course, artists walking across the six districts of Gloucestershire.
