
Strolling in the Stroud District
CHALFORD led health walk (updated 30-JAN-12) - This walk is back on Monday 6th February 2012 and then every Monday onwards. Walkers are to meet at Chalford Baptist Church (GL6 8DZ) 10.50am for an 11am start. The walk is steep in places and takes 30 to 45 minutes to complete and can be adjusted for walkers with limited mobility.
ALERT - New start time for Dursley Thursday Health Walk - please note that from 5 Jan 2012, the health walk that meets at Dursley Pool will have a new start time of 2pm (original time was 2.30pm)

The Stroud District is situated in the South of the Cotswolds and has been designated an area of outstanding natural beauty and a natural choice for anyone interested in walking.
Not only does walking allow you to take in the outstanding scenery around the five valleys but also offers a number of benefits to your health. Throughout the district there are a number of organised walks that you can take part in. These are held regularly and are led by fully qualified walk leaders. This allows for a walk that is structured, risk assessed, the right intensity and of course, so you don't get lost!
The aim of this website is to provide people with information about walks that take place throughout the Stroud District. In particularly the site allows groups and individuals to advertise their walks to the community.

Guided Health Walks - Walking Your Way to Health
Did you know that there are short led walks every week across the Stroud District that are aimed at improving people's health?
Each walk is led by a fully qualified volunteer walk leader who ensures that the walks are safe and at the right intensity.
